Get ready to finally witness one of the hottest Canadian indie superstars - Arcade Fire, performing live at the Mežaparks Green Theatre in Riga on Monday, August 6. Shipsea - the project of renowned Latvian musician Jānis Šipkēvics is to open for the main guests. The performance will take place at the “Green Theatre” of Mežaparks. Visitors are advised to familiarise themselves with the territory and not confuse the venue with the main open-air stage. 

Concert organisers urge visitors to carefully read the information regarding the concert venue layout and list of permitted items. The venue is best accessible by public transport or bicycle. For visitor convenience, we recommend taking tram nb. 11 or bus nb. 9. (with the terminal station on the side of Meža prospekts) when heading in the direction of Mežaparks. Busses nb. 2., 11., 19. and 24. can be taken to reach Mežaparks from the direction of Viestura prospekts (terminal station - Viestura prospekts). Car parking will only be available at designated Rīgas Satiksme parking spots. The Green Theatre will be reachable by heading down Ostas prospect, then turning onto Janševska prospect.

Please note that entering the territory might take time. Processes like ticket and personal item checking, as well as food and drink purchasing might delay the entry process. The concert organisers, therefore, urge all visitors to arrive on time. The venue will be open from 6 PM. 

Shipsea will take the stage at 8 AM. The project features Jānis Šipkēvics and fellow musical collaborators Matīss Čudars, Evija Vēbere and Rūdolfs Dankfelds. Arcade Fire’s violinist Sarah Neufeld will join the band in debuting a new musical composition.

For visitor attention! Large bags or backpacks that exceed the parameters of 21x29 cm will not be permitted into the concert venue. There won’t be any lockers or storage spaces available on site, so we advise only carrying the bare essentials.

It is prohibited to bring the following items into the concert venue: professional photo equipment, iPad / tablet devices, GoPro cameras, selfie sticks, audio and video recording equipment (except for mobile phones), any weapons and firearms, pyrotechnics, lasers, dangerous and explosive items, large size posters, glass objects, umbrellas, food and drinks purchased outside the venue, animals, bicycles, roller-skates, skateboards, motorcycle helmets and foldable chairs.

Prohibited or unauthorised item storing with organisational or security personnel will not be possible. Last Arcade Fire tickets are still available in all “Biļešu Serviss” box offices as well as online at www.bilesuserviss.lv. Tickets will also be sold at the venue.
