Ozzy Osbourne, one of the founders of hard rock, will perform in Riga at Arena Riga on Thursday, 31th of May. Ozzy, who started a succesful carreer in Black Sabbath will come to Latvia in frame of his European tour. The tickets will be on sale starting February, 12 at 10 am. 58-year-old Ozzy, real name John Michael Osbourne, who started a career in Black Sabbath and continued as a solo artist in 1979, is well known among younger generation thanks to the reality show "The Osbournes" that won a TV award Emmy in 2002.

Ozzy Osbourne who was born in England in 1948 and grew up in Birmingham, left Black Sabbath in 1979 and re-joined the band 18 years later. Even now he performs with songs from the Black Sabbath's setlist. The band has sold over 70 million copies during 38 years and Ozzy has sold almost 28 million albums as a solo artist.

Zakk Wylde who plays the guitar in Ozzy's live band will perform with his band Black Label Society as a support act (warm up). Together they played for example in 2005 in frame of Ozzfest when they also had shows in Helsinki at Hartwall Arena and in Denmark at The Roskilde Fest.

The producer of the show, Inga Kadeka says that Ozzy Osbourne is definitely one of the founders of hard rock. She thinks it's remarkable that Ozzy who is an idol for elder rock music lovers, has also won the hearts of young people who have watched him and his family on the reality show "The Osbournes". "I want to see him perform. He is surely very unique and charismatic", says Inga Kadeka.

Tickets will be available for purchase at every Statoil gus station and at Bilesu Serviss ( www.bilesuserviss.lv ) starting Monday, February 12th at 10 am.
