"Depeche Mode" are pleased to announce they will restart their interrupted "Tour Of The Universe" in Leipzig, Germany on June 8th. On May 12th, lead singer Dave Gahan suffered a severe bout of gastroenteritis, leading to his hospitalization and the cancellation of the Athens concert. While in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumour in Dave's bladder, which has since been successfully removed. At doctors' orders Dave Gahan must take a break until June 8th, to ensure that he makes a full recovery. The Leipzig show on June 8th will be the first concert following Dave's recovery.

Due to "Depeche Mode" lead singer’s Dave Gahan’s illness there were 16 tour concerts cancelled. Every effort continues to be made to reschedule these cancelled concerts and more time is needed to gather information on availability of the potential concert venues and to set the new dates for the concerts. A final decision is expected next week, at which time a statement will be made with regards to either a rescheduled Riga concert date or final cancellation.

Ticket holders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets until further announcements will be made. With respect of the announcement of the new concert date for Riga, ticket holders will be able to return their tickets starting from this year’s June 15. Further details on ticket refunding places and order will be announced on or before June 15.

Dave Gahan sincerely thanks his fans for their support, understanding and patience. "Depeche Mode" apologizes to all ticket holders for inconveniences that resulted from the canceled concert in Riga, May 25.
