Following his award-winning debut album "Vernisāža" and last year’s EP "ambrāža", galeniex, one of the standout names of Latvia’s new generation of rappers, is entering the most ambitious chapter of his career so far. His second full-length album, "Biennāle", will be released on 25 September, followed by his first-ever solo show at Palladium Riga on 28 November.

Tickets go on sale on 17 September at 10:00 via Biļešu Serviss PLG. Members of the Positivus Festival and FBI concert club, as well as Delfi Plus subscribers, will have access to a presale from 16 September at 10:00.

Ernests Galenieks, better known as galeniex, is a relatively recent arrival on the Latvian hip-hop scene, but in a short time he has developed a highly distinctive musical language of his own. He is drawn to complexity, building dense, layered lyrics, experimenting with song structures and bringing together musical elements that might initially seem worlds apart. Rather than making his music as immediately accessible as possible, galeniex trusts his audience to listen closely, allowing new details to reveal themselves with each listen.

This approach was already clearly present on his 2024 debut album "Vernisāža". From its very concept, galeniex brought rap closer to the world of visual art, treating the album as a collection of interconnected works rather than simply a sequence of individual tracks. "Vernisāža" received the Latvian Music Recording Award "Zelta Mikrofons" for Best Debut Album and became one of the most notable rap debuts by a new-generation Latvian artist.

galeniex is also the winner of the fifth season of the rap battle series "371 Battle". In 2025, he teamed up with producer duo reivs, consisting of Emīls Jansons and Aleksandrs Karpavičius, to release the EP "ambrāža". The record brings hip-hop together with electronic dance music rhythms, continuing his ongoing experiments with sound and elements from different genres.

At the Palladium Riga show on 28 November, galeniex will perform songs from the new album "Biennāle" alongside established fan favourites including "Zemais Starts", "Gatavojos īpaši" and "tērēt, ne krāt".
